Many development projects and the governments of the countries where these projects are put in place aim to enable farmers to get access to high-quality agri-inputs at reasonable cost in order to increase their production and their individual profitability while participating in the increase of national agricultural production and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.
In order to reach that goal these incentives / subsidies programs different requirements must be met: the real market price of the products profiting from incentives / subsidies programs must identified, a transparent and traceable subsidy / incentives program must involve the private sector to ensure sustainability of the economic effects of Development Aid and checks and balances inherent to the incentives / subsidies programs ensure maximization of efficiency of every Dollar invested by the Donors.
RODEVA’s approach to shift the focus of such agricultural subsidies programs from supply-driven systems to demand-driven systems by designing and implementing traceable and transparent incentives programs, often by support of e-voucher and e-ticket-systems is widely recognized and appreciated by Major Donors and International Organizations as well as by the Governments of Development countries. These new forms of design and implementation of subsidies / incentives programs revolutionize equally Development Aid within the other working fields of RODEVA, Healthcare and Education.
